Can we get Palin back?

TPM Reader PT: “What are the odds Governor Palin drops McCain from the ticket? After a performance like this, it’s a serious question.”

Josh Marshall, Talking Points Memo

There seems to be a lot less excitement in the hall tonight, certainly compared with Ms. Palin’s speech last night. Maybe everyone’s just tired; maybe it’s that Mr. McCain isn’t jabbing Mr. Obama the way Ms. Palin did, or maybe this is just more of a traditional laundry list speech that everyone has heard before.

That’s not to say there aren’t applause lines, but the lines and applause are delivered as if on cue.

And as John McCain’s speech enters its 10th hour, it can be said that we’ve learned a lot tonight. He was a POW. He is a maverick. And Sarah Palin can kill a moose with her bare hands. The only thing we don’t know is whether he used Max Factor or Revlon.
