La doxa voudrait que pendant que les démocrates s’étripent, les républicains – eux – se retrouvent autour de la candidature de John McCain.
Bien sûr, on pourrait opposer à cette vision simpliste, les difficulté de John McCain à mobiliser sa base (lire McCain’s Christian Problem) et son positionnement impossible entre modérés et right-winger. Mais aujourd’hui, c’est de Ron Paul dont il est question.
Le Los Angeles Times rapporte que Ron Paul comploterait secrètement contre John McCain pour lui rendre la vie impossible durant la convention du Parti Républicain en septembre.
